High School Head Coach
Bill Warburton

My wife and I reside in Westminster. We have two grown sons that in addition to playing soccer in college (D3 and D1), have also enjoyed playing soccer in Germany, Brazil, Barcelona and Australia.

I have over 20 years of coaching experience with various clubs in Maryland. In 2013 I took my u15 boys club team to England to play teams in London and Manchester.  I hold USSF National Youth and Class D coaching licenses. At the high school level, I’ve coached at Winters Mill and Gerstell Academy in Westminster.  As the boys varsity coach at Gerstell we were ranked 13th in Maryland and won the MIAA “B” Conference Championship in 2013 and in 2014 we were the MIAA “B” Conference Finalist.

College degrees include a B.S. Forestry from West Virginia University and a M.S. Business\Information Systems from the University of Baltimore.

High School Assistant Coach
Kendall Burton

Coach Burton has been teaching Biology and Anatomy at Littlestown for 3 years. Before becoming a teacher, she was a personal trainer and enjoy helping with conditioning and strength training.

Junior High School Head Coach
Brett Powell

Coach Powell was the assistant coach of the LHS Boys Soccer Team in 2018. He is currently the head coach of the Littlestown Junior High Soccer Team and LHS Boys Soccer Team. He has also been a USSF and PIAA soccer referee for many years. He was a successful soccer player at Warrior Run High School and then Lock Haven University.
Coach Powell is also a physics teacher at Littlestown High School. He has traveled around the world (Haiti, England, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and Peru) and brings a diverse perspective to teaching and coaching. He enjoys helping others reach their potential and is passionate about both soccer and physics. Coach Powell is also an Eagle Scout, loves the outdoors, and grew up in a small town surrounded by corn.

Junior High School Assistant Coach
Kevin Smeak

Coach Smeak served as the assistant coach for the Middle School Boys & Girls Soccer Team in 2018. He is currently the assistant coach for LHS Boys Soccer Team. Prior to holding these positions, Coach Smeak has volunteered for numerous years at both of these levels and with the local AYSO program. He also served as a referee during this time.

Coach Smeak is the Director of Public Works for the City of Taneytown. He resides in Littlestown with his wife, Darbye, and their two children, Dylan and Abbey. Coach Smeak finds satisfaction in watching athletes excel within their realm, while having fun with their teammates. In his spare time, he also enjoys golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
